There's no place like home : repatriation narratives from American expatriates / Hannah Tueller Pritchett, 2003
Scope and Contents note
Describes the experiences of Americans who have lived in a foreign culture and then returned to America. Discusses the feeling of foreignness in the home country. Describes elements such as language, clothing, food, gestures, etc. that differ culturally and that act as barriers separating people from their peers in other cultures. Explains that positives exist as well; "expatriates" often say they would raise their children abroad. Created by Hannah Pritchett while she was enrolled in Jill Terry Rudy's English 391 class during Winter Semester 2003.
