Materials contain a transcribed interview of Kim Farnworth regarding his service in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1968. In this interview, conducted by Julianne Cutler, Farnsworth talks about joining the Marines right out of high school at 18 years, disregarding some of his Latter-day Saint standards at war, recovering from injury, and explains his feelings about killing and death. Also talks about his survival training, his 50-caliber machine gun, going home to angry Americans and re-adjusting, and the importance of talking about the war to relieve anxiety. Dated 1988.
