Materials contain an account of Dick Arthur Johnson's service in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater, written by his son, Stan Johnson. Talks about staying back in the United States to type for an officer and then going overseas to Guadal Canal, Guam, and Okinawa as a medic. Also discusses the pain of watching soldiers die under his care. Also includes photograph descriptions, although photographs are not included. Dated approximately 2001.
