Scope and Contents note
Folders contain press releases, newspaper clippings, correspondence, congressional records, pamphlets, reports, and legislative bills from 1956 to 1965 that provide information about concerns, construction, and plans for establishment of recreational areas for the Glen Canyon and Flaming Gorge Units of the Colorado River Storage Project in the Western United States. Also provided are Anthropological Papers from September 1959 which outline the history of the Glen Canyon Region from 1776 to 1922 in the Western United States.
