Scope and Contents note
The folders contain reports, maps, correspondence, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, and legislative bills from 1956 to1965 about federal reclamation projects in the Western United States such as the Flaming Gorge Unit of the Colorado River Storage Project, Lake Powell behind Glen Canyon Dam, and the Burns Creek Project in Idaho. Maps include the preliminary designs and locations from 1959 of the initial recreation development for Flaming Gorge Reservoir in Utah and the proposed boundaries from 1963 of the Canyonlands National Park in Utah.
