Materials contain Ray Dean Gurr's account of his experiences serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II from 1943-1945. He discusses his actions in Guadalcanal, the Solomon Islands, Guam, and Japan. Includes an article that contains Latter-day Saint veterans' memories of World War II (2001). Also includes a copied certificate of Gurr's discharge from the military (1945). Dated 1945, approximately 2001.
