Materials contain Vard Hadley's account of his experiences in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the invasion of Iwo Jima. Contains two copies of a photograph of the flag-raising at Iwo Jima that was signed by Joe Rosenthal. Also contains two copies of a photograph of Hadley. Dated 1944 and approximately 2001.
