Samuella Bates Brown talks of her early life in Birmingham, Alabama, of her conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as an adult in Columbus, Ohio, of her courtship and marriage to a non-Latter-day Saint, and about her children. She comments on her own as well as other experiences of blacks in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Columbus, Ohio. Dated March 12, 1988.
