Scope and Contents
Contain biographical and autobiographical sketches about Charles Goodliffe's service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Describes his work as a clerk in the quartermaster's office in the Philippines, and subsequent capture during the Japanese invasion. He describes the conditions of the prisoner of war camp and his transfer by ship to Japan, where he worked in a mine. He also describes his rescue at the end of the war and being nursed back to health before his return to the United States. Also contains a biographical summary form. Dates range 1941-2010.
