Scope and Contents note

Materials contain papers of Paul Galloway regarding his service as a radio operator in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Contains a comic, copied military award certificate, copied photographs, map of Europe, copied newspaper articles about Galloway's award of the Distinguished Service Cross for continuing to fire while wounded, copied newspaper articles about Galloway's brothers and crew members, an account written by Galloway about his military experiences, and transcription of a radio broadcast. Also contains a book entitled Target: Germany, which is the Air Forces' story of the 8th Bomber Command's first year over Europe. Dated 1943-1944, approximately 1942-1945, approximately 1943, approximately 2000.
