Scope and Contents

Materials contain papers relating to the military service of Emery M. Larson in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943-1946. Contains selections made by Larson in 2003 from letters he wrote home from 1944 to 1945. Contains a brief summary written by Larson about his military service, a copied certificate, and copied photographs of Larson during the war, and an account written by Larson in 2004 about how his life was spared during battle in Rosario, Philippines. He discusses serving in New Guinea, participating in the invasion of Luzon, Philippines, and serving in Japan. Dated 1944-1945, 2003-2004.
