Scope and Contents note
Materials include the transcript and audiocassettes of an interview with Wayne K. Tuttle regarding his service in the Cavalry of the U.S. Army during World War II. He discusses using the horses to get the men in to the mountains of Burma and having to shoot his horses after their ship was torpedoed as they were trying to survive in life rafts. Explains his change in duties to become a clerk in the infantry in the China-India-Burma Theater. Also contains photocopied photographs of Tuttle and his wife, Ruth. Dated 1944-1946 and November 22, 2006.
