Lyman A. Speakman papers, 1942-1947
Scope and Contents
Materials contain a short biography of Lyman A. Speakman and his war years. Also contains a large collection of his military papers, including a photocopy of his military I.D., training grades and completion certificates, promotion papers, discharge papers, individual flight record, and personnel folder/record. Also includes an overview of the course work at the U.S. Army Air Corps Institute of Technology and Speakman's entrance application. Contains various military memorandums and miscellaneous documents, photocopies of Speakman's letters home describing his activities, and a photocopy of his wedding program. Photographs show him in full military dress, with fellow soldiers, and with his wife. Also included are photographs of the P-61 Black Widow Fighter. Dated 1942-1947.
