Material contains a transcribed interview with Larry Lee Kitchen regarding his service in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II from 1943-1945. Mentions his service in the Atlantic, Pacific, Mediterranean, and Middle East war zones as an Ensign and a Seaman Second Class. Kitchen tells of traveling to Pearl Harbor, initiating Army personnel on the way to Australia, being in India, and conducting sacrament services on board the ship. Also includes a copy of his official release from active duty. Dated 1945, July 3, 2004.
