Materials contain a memoir of Rollie T. Childers. Discusses his induction, training as an airplane mechanic, life on military bases, and his later assignment to a Radar Detachment Squadron. Describes his contact with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout the World War II and contains personal comments about patriotism, war, and religion. Includes his discharge papers and photographs which show Childers in full military dress, on his air bases, with fellow soldiers, and with airplanes. Dated 1941-2001.
