Materials contains papers regarding Vernon Lewis Rasmussen's service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Includes photocopied photographs of Vernon Lewis Rasmussen. File also contains photocopied general orders of medals, commendations, and a record of his operational sorties that Rasmussen received or accomplished during his service. Includes the photocopy of a telegram sent to Rasmussen's parents when he was wounded in action. Dates 1943-1945. Contains Rasmussen's personal memoir of his experiences while serving in the European Theater. Dated 1943-1945, 2000-2001.
