Scope and Contents note
Materials include papers regarding Ray T. Matheny's service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Includes a manuscript copy of the book "The Deacon's Sinners" written by Matheny. The book details Matheny's flight training, his experiences flying in combat, and his life as a prisoner-of-war. Materials also contain photocopied photographs of aircrafts and photocopied schematics of those aircrafts. There are also 15 audiocassettes of an interview of Matheny in 2005. Dated 1942-2005.
