Material contains history of Whitaker's life in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Describes his missions. He tells of how his plane was shot down by German fighters and he parachuted out and landed 50 yards from a prisoner-of-war camp. Describes typical days and experiences in prison life, also of his liberation. Dated approximately 1943-1995.
