Scope and Contents note
Chapman collected stories of superstitions that signaled bad luck. Included are the superstitions of breaking your mother's back by stepping on a crack, warding off bad luck by throwing salt over one shoulder, and honking a car horn through tunnels to ensure a safe journey. The project was written for Dr. Thursby's English 356 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1999.
