Two handwritten and signed letters, addressed to Barton O. Aylesworth, composed in Boston, Massachusetts, and dated 4 Dec. 1902 and 2 Jan. 1903. Allen informs Aylesworth where he may find biographical information on himself. Allen also lists some of his recent publications. The envolopes used to send these letters are found with the collection.

Also included is a printed brochure dated 1892 which advertises recent publications by Allen. The item presents a photographic portrait of Allen.
