Scope and Contents note

Materials contain a transcribed interview with Walter Stewart regarding his service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He describes the MIA meetings he held with other men in Benghazi, Africa and his participation in the bombing mission to the Ploesti, Romania oil refineries in August 1943. Contains an account written by Stewart about the religious meetings in Benghazi and the Ploesti mission. Also contains a transcription of an interview with Stewart and his wife, conducted by Matthew K. Heiss in 1992, in which Stewart discusses the Ploesti mission. Dated 2001.
