Material contains a section of Keith Spere Kirkham's personal history regarding his service in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943-1946. Kirkham talks about marrying his sweetheart, being drafted into the Army, training, learning discipline, traveling overseas, Quonset huts they lived in, attending the USO, missing his wife back home, D-Day as an observer, and turning to Heavenly Father for help. Also talks about his experience with the Germans, the black market, hunger and hatred, and finally returning to the States and to his wife and son after three years away. Dated before 2002.
