Contains copies of a personal history, journals, and stories written by Austin George Hunt. Also included is a black and white panoramic photograph of the East Central States Mission conference and other photographs with Austin George Hunt. Materials date from 1930 to 2006, with the bulk dated 1930 to 1948.

Biographical note

Austin George Hunt (1907-2006) was a teacher in Utah and California.

Austin George Hunt was born in Bunkerville, Nevada on July 6, 1907. For the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hunt served in Kentucky as a missionary. While attending Dixie College, he met Mildred Tobler and they got married on May 30, 1935 in Washington, Utah. Together they had ten children. After graduating from Brigham Young University, Hunt and his family moved to Sacramento, California where he worked as a principal for many schools. After receiving a Master's degree from UC Berkeley in 1950, Hunt worked as a superintendent for Center School District.

In addition to a successful career, Austin enjoyed raising a large family and devoting his time and service in various callings to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died on October 8, 2006.

Charlene Hunt (born 1954) is a high school teacher in California.

Charlene Kathryn Rhodes Hunt was born on November 19, 1954, in Sacramento, California. On February 3, 1978, she married Andrew A. Hunt in Alameda, California. They currently reside in Folsom, California, and she teaches at a high school in the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District.

Andrew Hunt (born 1947) is a civil engineer and architect in California.

Andrew Austin Hunt was born on February 3, 1947, to Austin George and Mildred Tobler Hunt in Yolo, California. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and part of a master's degree in architecture, Hunt completed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer's officer training. On February 3, 1978, Hunt married Charlene K. Rhodes in Alameda, California. They currently reside in Folsom, California.
