Photocopies and transcripts of a journal by Leonard describing his service as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Includes information on his travels from San Francisco, California to Calcutta, India, with descriptions of islands visited during his trip. Describes his work in the cities of Calcutta, Chinsurah, Madras, and Bombay, including both reports of his teaching and of persecution of Mormons in India. The entries range from January 28, 1853 to February 7, 1854.
