Materials contain an interview with Benner A. Hall regarding his service in the U.S. Army during World War II. Hall talks about his reaction to the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the influence of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on his service. Gives an account of his participation in the Battle of the Bulge. Talks about shooting at and missing a German soldier who was later caught praying. Tells how the German mentioned the name of a friend of Benner’s from Mesa and Benner recalls that this strengthened his testimony of the power of prayer. Recalls several instances when he felt like he was being protected. Talks about his happy feelings at the end of the war and retells the story of the Mormon German soldier. Dated 2001.
