Scope and Contents note
Materials contain pages 67-131 of Willard DeLoy Smith's personal history regarding his service in the U.S. Army during World War II. Details his stateside military training, service in England as a chaplain's assistant, touring Dachau Concentration Camp, attending an LDS servicemen's conference in Paris with Hugh B. Brown, trips through the United Kingdom and Ireland, and comments about his voyage aboard the Queen Mary. Also includes writings by Smith's wife, Olga Smith, about her experiences on the homefront as well as photocopied separation qualification record, family and military photographs, and one notecard. Dated approximately 1980-2000.
