Materials contain a memoir in which Clarence W. Vickrey briefly relates some of his military experiences from World War II, including his participation in the Battle of the Bulge and the invasion of Normandy. He credits God for his survival, and the success of the unit he was a part of. Also contains a handwritten note in which Vickrey states that the World War II National Momument was never considered until after all the others had been built, because World War II veterans hadn't complained about or expected any special favors. Dated approximately 2000.
