Scope and Contents note

Materials include cassettes and a transcript of an interview with Joseph Prior regarding his service in the British Army during World War II. He discusses his involvement with the Battle and Evacuation of Dunkirk, and how he spent several days on the open beach while the Germans bombarded the beach. He tells how Churchill called all people who had a boat of any size to help in the effort to get the soldiers home and how he saw men pile in to row boats to return to England. Dated 2005-2006.
