Material contains papers relating to the military service of Don V. Tibbs in the U.S. Army during World War II. File contains many photocopied photos; his medals and ribbons. Colored photographs were originally included, but Tibbs requested they be returned. File also contains various military records, the personal history of Tibbs, a photocopy of a penny postcard sent to Tibbs' parents, telegrams, articles mentioning Tibbs being injured, a citation for the Bronze Star medal, and accounts written by Tibbs of experiences during and after the war. Dated 1943-2001
