Materials contain an account of Max T. Madson's military service in the U.S. Army during World War II taken from notes from a 2002 interview. Talks about the effects of the World War I on his family and the world as well as the beginnings of World War II. Talks about his induction into the Army, service in New York City, and then being sent to Europe to serve with General Patton’s Army in Germany. Discusses his return home and after the war.
