Womankind : the folklore of childbearing / Kimberli Roth, 1997
Scope and Contents note
Roth interviewed women to collect folklore associated with childbearing. Included are superstitions that going to the mountains will cause a miscarriage, ways to determine the gender of your child, and methods of inducing labor. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
