Scope and Contents

Marcia Argueta-Mickelson collected personal narratives about Christmas traditions from both her Guatemalan and American sides of the family. Included are traditions such as giving everyone a hug at midnight on Christmas Eve, a recipe for tamales Guatamaltecos, and letting youngest children see the Christmas tree and presents first. Project was written for an English 1995.
