Biographical History

Audress Elden Watts was born in Ogden, Utah on December 5, 1923, and raised in American Falls, Idaho. Following his love for airplanes, he studied aeronautical engineering at the Curtiss Wright Technical Institute in Glendale, California. He worked for Boeing as an engineer until he was drafted into the military at age nineteen. He joined the Coast Guard and attended electronics/radio school. During his time with the Coast Guard, he travelled around the world, including France, Japan, and the Phillipines. After he was discharged, he continued to work for Boeing as an engineer. He married and moved to Seattle to start a family, where he worked as a teacher for thirty years.
