Letter from Jennetta Richards, wife of Willard Richards, Nauvoo, Illinois, to her sister Wealthy Richards at Richmond, Mass., July 4, 1843, relates an account of Prophet Joseph Smith being captured at Dixon's Ferry, 160 miles north of Nauvoo, Ill., by two armed men.
