Scope and Contents

Typescript of an interview conducted by Ben Bahlmann on January 2, 1998. The audiocassettes from which the interview was transcribed were retained by Bahlmann. Hebert talks about his training as a gunner with the Army Air Corps. He was assigned to a B-24 Bomber and was stationed in North Africa. Hebert also also tells about his experiences in combat over Europe.

Biographical / Historical

Joseph Hebert was born in 1924. As of 1998, Hebert was a resident of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised in South Bend, Indiana, and was in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
