This series includes photographs, mainly black and white with a few in color, negatives, and a few photograph re-prints produced from the negatives. Photographs document employees at Lake Lodge, wildlife, scenery, tourism, and transportation in Yellowstone National Park. Dated 1948.

Biographical / Historical
Paul D. Veach was born April 26, 1919in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Sunset High School and joined the Army Air Corps, becoming a master sergeant of the 77th Bombardment Squadron and serving in WWII. He served in the Aleutian Islands during WWII and was awarded three bronze battle stars, one for service as a submarine hunter in the Aleutian Islands. In the summer of 1948, Paul traveled to Yellowstone National Park to work with his band at the Lake Lodge. On October 22, 1949, he married Buna Merritt. He later graduated with a music degree from Southern Methodist University and became a band and music teacher in the Dallas area. Paul retired in 1984, and passed away October 24, 2014.
