Biographical History

Reas Elwood Allen was born in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1947, and grew up mostly in the San Fernando Valley in California. After graduating high school, he worked in construction as a carpet layer and framer. He married Deborah Richards in 1967. They received his draft notice during the rehearsal for their wedding. After basic training, he was supposed to be sent to Vietnam, but his orders were switched to Korea. When he returned from the war, he continued to work in construction and raised his family in California, Arizona, and Utah.
