Materials include Emmeline B. Wells's handwritten diary from the year 1890. The diary focuses on day-to-day events and concerns about Emmeline's family, church, community, and business. She mentions caring for sick family members and also notes the publication of the Manifesto in Deseret News. She thinks the Manifesto will cause trials for many members but they will have to wait and see what the Lord has in store for them. The diary has a dark purple, leather cover with a wallet fold.
