Scope and Contents
Materials include a set of typescripts of a compilation of letters written by John Kintzing Kane and Jane Duval Leiper Kane. The letters were written from 1812 to 1857 and they were compiled by Helen Hamilton Stockton (daughter of Elizabeth Kane Shields) in 1914. The compiliation of letters includes an introduction with general information about the Kane family, a journal entry written by Elizabeth Kane Shields, and sixteen letters. Dated 1914.
