John K. Kane and William Leiper letter to Thomas L. Kane, 1841 January 29
Scope and Contents
Materials include an original letter from John K. Kane and Uncle Bill (William Leiper) to Thomas L. Kane. The letter is badly damaged with text missing, but it contains a request for Thomas to return home since the family misses him and mentions Thomas's birthday, which was on January 27th. It also describes Pennsylvania Governor David R. Porter's visit to the Kane household. Dated January 29, 1841.
