Scope and Contents

Letter from John K. Kane to Jane Duval Leiper Kane saying he listened to some candidates for the place of Chaplain to Congress, he visited with William Rives and William Taylor, both United States senators. He also tells her about the current scandal in which Silas Enoch Burrows will be tried again for the crime of seducing Mary Carew. Dated December 1, 1833.
