Letter from Elizabeth Kintzing Kane to John K. Kane, dated August 2, 1831, and then forwarded to Jane with a note from John, dated August 5, 1831. The letter is torn and missing some text. Elizabeth says that her husband, Elisha Kane, John's father, is feeling better. John expresses concern about his mother's health to Jane and tells her that their cousin Mary left two days ago. Dated August 2 and 5, 1831.
