John K. Kane and Thomas L. Kane letter to Elisha Kent Kane, 1844 May 26
Scope and Contents
Materials include an original letter from John K. Kane and Thomas L. Kane to Elisha Kent Kane that tells Elisha about the riots between the Native American and Irish populations. They say that Martin Van Buren's Texas anti-annexation letter was a bombshell and they tell Elisha about the Baltimore Convention. The letter is severely damaged at the bottom. Dated May 26, 1844.
