Letter from Lalande in London to Mme. Dupiery on August 26, 1788. Lalande's journey to back to Paris is delayed due to a meeting with M. Bitt, the minister of England. However he departed with M. Barthelomy to Cambridge and continues in his interests with Newton and astronomy. However, Lalandes mourns the lost opportunity to return to Paris because he wanted to bring the "instrument of Ramsden" with him to the Paris Observatory.
