Materials include Emmeline B. Wells's handwritten diary from 1881. The cover is dark red and leather. The diary contains material about religion, family, the Church, work with the Woman's Exponent, and the community. Emmeline mentions a dream she had on January first about a transparent dove that came to rest on her bed, she felt it predicted a happy new year. Mentions the Lion House in Salt Lake City catching on fire and deaths of family members (not related to the fire). Dated 1881.
