Biographical History

Jerod Bybee was born in 1955 and is a Brigham Young University graduate who took part in a class with Don Norton on the topic of oral histories. Jerod Bybee lives in Chandler, Arizona.

Biographical History

Franklyn Robey Coleman was born on July 21, 1921 to Henry Springer and Viva Christine (Orrock) Coleman in Snake Creek, Utah. In 1942, Franklyn joined the United States Army Air Corp in with his pilot's license which he obtained while at Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah. After he was discharged in March of 1942, he joinded the National Guard with hopes of entering glider training. He completed gunnery training in Kingman, Arizona and was sent to the 8th Air Force in England. While there, Franklyn flew 35 missions as a ball turret gunner with the 95th Bombardier Group, 334th Squadron. He was discharged on September 2, 1945. Franklyn was married to Gladys Gilbert on September 28, 1945 in Carson City, Nevada. Together they had two children. Franklyn died on March 25, 2009 in Carson City, Nevada.
