Biographical History
Rudger Harper Walker was born on August 20, 1902, to parents W. A. Walker and Lavina Harper. He received a BS degree in agronomy from Brigham Young University in 1923. On June 6, 1923, he married Fawn Lucile Davies. He was the director of the Agricultural Experiment Station at Utah State University, and also served as a visiting faculty member at the American University at Beirut. In 1960, he was named dean of the College of Biological and Agricultural Sciences at Brigham Young University, and he served in that position until 1968. Rudger died in June 1979.
