Scope and Contents

Contains letters from Alvin Fielding Smith to his wife Amelia Atkins Smith, or "Millie," and his daughter Ruth, or "Ruthie." Smith writes from London, England, where he served as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to his family in Salt Lake City, Utah. In his letters, he includes daily mission affairs, references to correspondence with other family and acquaintances, matters at home, and outings with members of the Church. He frequently expresses his affection and admiration for Amelia. Also included is a letter to Smith from Lily P. Price, a convert who left England for Salt Lake City. Dated approximately January 4, 1907 - January 24, 1907.
