Scope and Contents

Margaret Lang Bringhurst diaries, dated 1975 to 2016, including notes from church meetings, her personal study, and grocery lists. Most of these focus on her family and her personal struggles and searches for understanding and truth. Also contains letters she kept, mainly from her parents, but also from friends from 1981 to 2012. She included many photographs and news clippings in her letters and diaries. Most of these are set in Cedar City, Utah where she lived for a large portion of her life, but there is significant content regarding her mission with her spouse to Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Biographical / Historical

Margaret Jean Lang Bringhurst was born February 27, 1944 to Golden Lang and Lillie Foster. She married Kent Bringhurst and had twelve children. She served a mission with her spouse in 2006 to Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
