Biographical History

Roy John Grossman was born and raised in the rural part of Grand Junction, Colorado. At age 21, he was drafted into the army as a member of the K 38th 2nd Battalion Infantry Division. He was present during the D-Day invasion and was wounded and captured as a prisoner of war. After the war, he married Mildred Coward, and their family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints about 10 years later. He worked for the US Postal Service for 32 years. After retirement, he and his wife served a mission in Des Moines, Iowa. He passed away in 2013.
